Golden, crispy, and packed with a savory twist you didn’t see coming, DJ’s Boudain Beignets bring together the best of Texas and Louisiana in one unforgettable bite.
We took our signature boudain and wrapped it in a light, fluffy beignet dough, then fried it to perfection for that irresistible crunch on the outside and warm, flavorful center on the inside. Finished with a dusting of powdered sugar, every bite delivers that perfect balance of sweet and savory with a true Gulf Coast flair.
Ingredients
1 box Café Du Monde Beignet Mix
2 links DJ’s Original Boudain, casing removed
½–¾ cup Kraft Creamy Melt Mexican (with Philadelphia)
Water (per beignet mix instructions)
Oil for frying
Powdered Sugar
Pepper Jelly (Optional)
Yields: 12 large stuffed beignets
Directions:
Prepare 1 box Café Du Monde Beignet Mix according to package directions. Allow dough to rest as directed.
Remove casing from DJ’s Original Boudain and place in a bowl. Break apart and mix with Kraft Creamy Melt Mexican until evenly combined. Microwave for 1.5 minutes.
On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to approximately ¼-inch thickness. Cut into 6 equal squares for full-size beignets.
Place boudain mixture evenly into each square. Fold dough over filling and press edges firmly to seal. Use fingers or a fork to ensure seams are tight.
Heat oil to 350°F. Fry beignets in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Serve warm.
