DJ's Boudain Waffle Sandwich

Ingredients:

Corn Dog Mix:

  • 1 cup Waffle Mix (or make your own)
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 Link DJ’s Boudain
  • 2 Slices of Cheese (We used jalapeno)

Directions:

  1. Mix waffle mix with water.
  2. Let waffle mix sit for 2 minutes while the waffle maker heats up.
  3. Spray waffle maker with cooking spray. Fill with waffle mix. Removed when browned enough to your liking. *These are the bread of your sandwich. A medium to dark brown is advised for easy eating.
  4. Repeat for 4 waffles.
  5. Score the casing of one DJ’s Boudain link. Discard casing.
  6. Split link in half and form into patties.
  7. Cook on waffle maker by pressing down on the waffle maker using an oven mitt.
  8. Once patty is brown and holds together, place on bottom waffle. Top with a slice of cheese and another waffle.

Yields 2 sandwiches
